Payments and protection
You pay when you place an order. The money is held until you are happy with the work. Here is exactly how that works.
How a payment moves
- You pay. You pay the price plus a 5% service fee by card. The total is shown before you pay.
- The money is held. Our payment partner, Stripe, holds your payment. The provider is told they can start but is not paid yet.
- The provider delivers. This starts a 7-day review window for you.
- You approve, or the window ends. When you approve, the payment is released to the provider. If you do nothing, it is released automatically when the 7 days are over.
- The provider is paid. The money goes to the provider’s Stripe account, and Stripe pays it to their bank on its payout schedule.
If something is not right
During the review window you can ask the provider for changes (up to two times) or open a dispute. Both pause the automatic release, so the payment stays held. In a dispute we look at what both sides said and decide whether to release the payment to the provider or refund you in full.
Who holds the money
Payments are processed and held by Stripe, a licensed payment provider, not kept in a 360Gigs bank account. We never see your card details.
Fees
Buyers pay the listed price plus a 5% service fee. Providers receive the full listed price; nothing is deducted from it.
For providers
To receive money you set up payouts once with Stripe, which verifies your identity and collects your bank details on its own pages. Payments for approved orders wait for you until that is done, then are released automatically. Set up payouts.
